Bad Sister is the debut album by Roxanne Shanté, and is from 1989. It has some of my favorite 80s songs and is one of my favorite 80s old school albums. "Bad Sister", "Knockin' Hiney", "My Groove Gets Better", "Feelin' Kinda Horny", "Have a Nice Day", "Fatal Attraction", "Wack It", "Skeezer", "Go On Girl", and more. Biz Markie's 1988 Goin' Off is his debut album. It has popular rap songs like "Pickin' Boogers"; which is very funny and "Make The Music With Your Mouth Biz" which has Biz doing the human beatbox. Some others that I like are "Albee Square Mall", "Vapors", and "Nobody Beats the Biz".

It Takes Two

A very popular 80s album, the title track "It Takes Two" is an easily recognizable 80s rap. Others like "Joy and Pain", "Don't Sleep on It", "Check This Out", "Get on the Dance Floor", "Times Are Gettin' Ill", "Keep It Going Now", "Make It Hot", "10 Creativity" and the rap love song "Crush" make up the rest of this strong album.

Whodini

Whodini was one of the most popular old school hip hop groups in the 80s. Their debut album of same name is from 1983. It has some of their best classic old school hip hop songs. "The Haunted House of Rock", "Nasty Lady", "It's All in Mr. Magic's Wand", "Magic's Wand" and more. I also like their Escape and Funky Beat: The Best of Whodini albums.

This is a great collection of LL's songs from the 80s to the mid 90s. My favorite songs are "I Can't Live Without My Radio", "Rock the Bells", "I'm Bad", "Going Back to Cali", and "I Need a Beat. "I Need Love" is a good rap ballad from 1987. "Doin' It" is a good 90s song. I also like his debut album Radio and Bigger and Deffer album.

Mantronix Deluxe Edition

This deluxe edition Mantronix album is from 2008. It has their 80s hits plus many remixes and versions of their 80s songs. A really good instrumental version of "Bassline" is on here. A live version of "Needle to the Groove", "Hardcore Hip-Hop", and "Get Stupid "Fresh", Pt. 1 are here. "Fresh Is the Word" and "Ladies" has a few versions. A total of 22 tracks in all on this big collection. I also like Mantronix: The Album.

I always liked Grandmaster Flash's style of rap. This is a big collection of songs by Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel & the Furious Five. My favorite songs are "Beat Street", "The Message", and "White Lines". Some others I like are "Scorpio" and "Pump Me Up".

This is a classic 80s hip hop album. The debut album from Doug E. Fresh has many great songs on it. "Nuthin'", "The Show", "Lovin' Ev'ry Minute of It", "Play This Only at Night", and "All the Way to Heaven" are some of standout songs here. "Play This Only at Night" is one of my favorites from the 80s era.

City Life

This debut album from the Boogie Boys is my favorite. From 1985, it has many very popular songs. My favorites are "A Fly Girl" and "You Ain't Fresh". Other songs here are "Runnin' From Your Love", "Do Or Die", "Break Dancer", "City Life", "Party Asteroid", and "Shake and Break".

Run-DMC - King of Rock

King of Rock

King of Rock is from 1985 and is their second album. The songs also have a little reggae and rock on some. "Roots, Rap, Reggae" is a rap-reggae song. "King of Rock" and "Can You Rock It Like This" are rap-rock. The other songs "Jam Master Jammin'", "You Talk Too Much", "Darryl And Joe" (Krush-Groove 3), "You're Blind", "It's Not Funny", and "Rock the House" are all good. This deluxe edition has a six minute long version of "Jam Master Jammin'", a great live version of "King of Rock" for Live aid, "Slow and Low" demo, and "Together Forever" (Krush-Groove 4 (Live at Hollis Park '84). I also like their Run DMC, Raising Hell, and Greatest Hits albums.

This is Run-DMC's debut album. It is from 1984. Run-DMC are one of my favorite hip hop groups. This deluxe edition has four new tracks, including my favorite song on here "Rock Box". A B-Boy mix of "Rock Box" is also here. "Here We Go" (live) is my favorite bonus track. My other favorites are "Hard Times", "Jam-Master Jay" , and "It's Like That". Other songs are "Hollis Crew" (Krush-Groove 2), "Sucker M.C.'s" (live) and (Krush-Groove 1), "Wake Up", "30 Days", "Jay's Game", "Sucker M.C.'s", and "Russell & Larry Running at the Mouth". I also like their King of Rock, Raising Hell, and Greatest Hits albums.

Escape

Whodini is one of my favorite old school hip hop groups. This is their second album and is from 1984. Escape is my favorite Whodini album, it has many of their hit songs. The standouts are "Five Minutes of Funk", "Freaks Come out at Night", "Friends", and "Big Mouth". Other songs here are "Featuring Grand Master Dee", "Escape (I Need a Break)", "Out of Control", and "We Are Whodini". This is a classic old school 80s album. I also like their Whodini and Funky Beat: The Best of Whodini albums.

My favorite songs are "Stick'Em" and "Human Beat Box".

This is their second album and is from 1988. This is a good follow-up to their 1986 debut album Hot, Cool & Vicious. Some of my favorite songs are "A Salt With a Deadly Pepa", "I Like It Like That", "I Gotcha", "Let the Rhythm Run", and "Hyped on the Mic".

This is the Jungle Brothers debut album. I like the laid-back rap style on their songs. The title song "Straight out the Jungle" is my favorite. "Black Is Black", "Jimbrowski", "I'm Gonna Do You", "I'll House You", "Behind the Bush", and "Because I Got It Like That" are some other songs I like.

It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

This is a very strong follow up album by Public Enemy, released in 1988. My favorite song is "Don't Believe the Hype". Some other songs I like are "Bring the Noise", "Night of the Living Baseheads", "Terminator X to the Edge of Panic", "Louder Than a Bomb", and "She Watch Channel Zero?!". This is a hard-hitting album that all 80s hip hop fans should hear. I also like their debut album Yo! Bum Rush the Show, which is my favorite 80s Public Enemy album.

Long Live the Kane

Long Live the Kaneis from the late 1980s and is his debut album. It is one of the best 80s hip hop albums. Some of my favorite songs are "Long Live the Kane", "Raw" (Remix), "Set It Off", "Ain't No Half-Steppin'", and "Just Rhymin' With Biz". I also like his It's a Big Daddy Thing album.

Some other songs I like are "Have a Nice Day", "Feelin' Kinda Horny", "Yes Yes Y'all", and "Knockin' Hiney". I also like her Bad Sister album.

Strictly Business

Strictly Business is from the late 1980s and is their debut album. EMPD are strong rappers. My favorites are "Strictly Business", "I'm Housin'", "You Gots to Chill", "You're a Customer", and "Get off the Bandwagon". This is one of the best albums of the 80s hip hop era that all hip hop fans should hear. I also like their Unfinished Business album.

LL Cool J - Bigger and Deffer

Bigger and Deffer

This is LL's second album and is from 1987. It is a strong follow-up album. It is known for the very popular rap ballad "I Need Love". My other favorite songs are "I'm Bad", "Get Down", "My Rhyme Ain't Done", "Go Cut Creator Go", and "Ahh, Let's Get Ill". I also like his debut album Radio and All World: Greatest Hits albums.

T La Rock - Lyrical King

This 80s album by T La Rock has some really good hip hop songs. Some of my favorites are "Lyrical King (from the Boogie Down Bronx)", "Back to Burn", "Tudy Fruity Judy", and "Three Minutes of Beat Box". Other songs here are "Having Fun", "Bust These Lyrics", "This Beat Kicks", "Big Beat in London", "It's Time to Chill", "Live Drummin' with the Country Boy", "It's Yours" (12" Radio Mix), "Breakdown" (12" Version), "He's Incredible" (12" Version), "Breaking Bells" (12" Version), and "Bass Machine" (12" Version).

This album is from 1985. Mantronix had some classic beats to their songs with their electro sound. I like all seven songs on here but my favorite one is "Bassline". Others are "Hardcore Hip-Hop", "Needle to the Groove", "Fresh Is the Word", "Ladies", "Get Stupid "Fresh" Part I", and "Mega-Mix". I also like Mantronix Deluxe Edition.

This is a great album of 80s hip hop. My favorite songs are "Roxanne, Roxanne" by UTFO, "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang, "It's Like That" by Run-DMC, "Jam on It" by Newcleus, and "Fat Boys" by The Fat Boys. "Rapper's Delight" is one of the most famous early raps, and is still a classic.

This is a classic 80s hip hop album that was very popular. My favorite songs are "I Ain't No Joke", "Paid in Full", "Chinese Arithmetic", and "I Know You Got Soul". A classic album with great rapping that should be heard by all 80s hip hop fans.

This is LL Cool J's first album and was released in 1986. My favorite songs are "I Can't Live Without My Radio", "Dear Yvette", "Rock the Bells" and "I Need a Beat". This is a strong debut album that set LL Cool J for his future stardom, and is a classic 80s hip hop album. I also like his Bigger and Deffer and All World: Greatest Hits albums.

Whodini was popular in the 80s. They are one of the most popular hip hop groups from the era. My favorite songs are "Big Mouth", "One Love", "Friends", "Five Minutes of Funk", "Haunted House of Rock", "Freaks Come Out At Night", and "Escape (I Need a Break)". "One Love" is a classic 80s rap love song. Other songs here are "Magic's Wand", "Escape (I Need a Break)", "Funky Beat", "I'm a Ho", "Be Yourself" Millie Jackson, "Rock you Again (Again & Again)", "Judy" , "Keep Running Back", and "The Whodini Mega Mix:" Five Minutes of Funk/Friends/Freaks Come Out at Night. A great collection for 80s hip hop fans. I also like their Whodini and Escape albums.

Run-DMC was one of the most popular hip hop groups in the 80s. This is a good collection of their hit songs. One of my favorites is "Rock Box". Other songs I like are "King of Rock", "It's Tricky", "Walk This Way", "Peter Piper", "You Be Illin'", "It's Like That", "My Adidas", and "You Talk Too Much". I also like their Run DMC, King of Rock, and Raising Hell albums.

This is the deluxe edition of their 1986 album Raising Hell. Every song on this classic album should be heard if you are an 80s hip hop fan. It is a very strong album. The songs are "Peter Piper", "It's Tricky" "My Adidas", "Walk This Way", "Is It Live?", "Perfection", "Hit It Run", "Raising Hell", "You Be Illin'", "Dumb Girl", "Son of Byford", and "Proud to Be Black". The bonus songs are "My Adidas" A Cappella, "Walk This Way" Demo version, "Lord of Lyrics", Demo Version, "Raising Hell" Radio Tour Spot, and "Live at the Apollo" Raw Vocal Commercial. This is one of the best 80s hip hop albums. I also like their Run DMC, King of Rock, and Greatest Hits albums.
