Bad Sister is the debut album by Roxanne Shanté, and is from 1989. It has some of my favorite 80s songs and is one of my favorite 80s old school albums. The Very Best of MC Lyte
MC Lyte is one of the best female 80s rappers. This collection has many of her songs from the 80s and 90s. Some of my favorites are "10% Dis", "I Cram to Understand U", "Kickin' 4 Brooklyn", and "Cha Cha Cha". Many more of her songs are on this big collection. I also like her debut album Lyte as a Rock.

Big Daddy Kane's second album It's a Big Daddy Thing is from 1989. Like his first album, it has strong rapping. "It's a Big Daddy Thing", "Another Victory", "Young, Gifted and Black", "Callin' Mr. Welfare", "I Get The Job Done", and "Warm It Up, Kane" are some of my favorite songs. A very popular 80s album, the title track "It Takes Two" is an easily recognizable 80s rap. Others like "Joy and Pain", "Don't Sleep on It", "Check This Out", "Get on the Dance Floor", "Times Are Gettin' Ill", "Keep It Going Now", "Make It Hot", "10 Creativity" and the rap love song "Crush" make up the rest of this strong album.

"I Need Love" is a good rap ballad from 1987. "Doin' It" is a good 90s song. I also like his debut album Radio and Bigger and Deffer album.

Mantronix Deluxe Edition
This deluxe edition Mantronix album is from 2008. It has their 80s hits plus many remixes and versions of their 80s songs. A really good instrumental version of "Bassline" is on here. A live version of "Needle to the Groove", "Hardcore Hip-Hop", and "Get Stupid "Fresh", Pt. 1 are here. "Fresh Is the Word" and "Ladies" has a few versions. A total of 22 tracks in all on this big collection. I also like Mantronix: The Album.

I always liked Grandmaster Flash's style of rap. This is a big collection of songs by Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel & the Furious Five. My favorite songs are "Beat Street", "The Message", and "White Lines". Some others I like are "Scorpio" and "Pump Me Up".

Doug E. Fresh - Oh, My God!

This is a classic 80s hip hop album. The debut album from Doug E. Fresh has many great songs on it. "Nuthin'", "The Show", "Lovin' Ev'ry Minute of It", "Play This Only at Night", and "All the Way to Heaven" are some of standout songs here. "Play This Only at Night" is one of my favorites from the 80s era.

This debut album from the Boogie Boys is my favorite. From 1985, it has many very popular songs. My favorites are "A Fly Girl" and "You Ain't Fresh". Other songs here are "Runnin' From Your Love", "Do Or Die", "Break Dancer", "City Life", "Party Asteroid", and "Shake and Break".

King of Rock
King of Rock is from 1985 and is their second album. The songs also have a little reggae and rock on some. "Roots, Rap, Reggae" is a rap-reggae song. "King of Rock" and "Can You Rock It Like This" are rap-rock. The other songs "Jam Master Jammin'", "You Talk Too Much", "Darryl And Joe" (Krush-Groove 3), "You're Blind", "It's Not Funny", and "Rock the House" are all good. This deluxe edition has a six minute long version of "Jam Master Jammin'", a great live version of "King of Rock" for Live aid, "Slow and Low" demo, and "Together Forever" (Krush-Groove 4 (Live at Hollis Park '84). I also like their Run DMC, Raising Hell, and Greatest Hits albums.

Some of my favorites are "Wild Wild West" by Kool Moe Dee, "(Nothing Serious) Just Buggin'" by Whistle, "Give It All You Got" by Afro-rican, "The Message" and "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)" by Grandmaster Melle Mel, "Rappers Delight" by Sugar Hill Gang, "Freaks Come Out at Night" by Whodini, and "Roxanne Roxanne" by UTFO.
